The original Ira Jewell well was drilled in 1985 and produced through 12/86.  An 18,007 foot Ira Jewell was completed in August 1988 and plugged 1/14/99.  This was the only well drilled in the section and the last leasing took place in early 1988.  The only recent township leasing were Section 34 leases and all were mid 2010.

I have 150 mineral acres in Washita County Oklahoma Sec 23, T8N, R16W. The previous lease expired on 05/22/2011. How hot or cold is the leasing interest for this area of the county? I mean should I expect to be approached soon?
This property has frontage along highway 54, does anyone know if there is a gas pipeline close by?
Thanks,

Is the "no/no word" inserted by the forum software?

After looking at a county map of Oklahoma, I finally figured it out. Just west of Caddo. Backwards its "atihsaW".

It must be the software because when I tried to make a correction it did it again. But you got it right, backwards Thanks.

Kind of makes me want to explore the limits.

But I'll pretend to be grown up.

Since 1/01/10 Schonwald Land and Superior Energy has taken 12 Section 23 leases, all are 3 years and include a 3/16 lease royalty.  The average county bonus rate is $1,000 per net mineral acre.  There are no current spacing or pooling orders.

Cara,
I didn't realize section 23 had so many owners, how many of the leases were in the SW/4 of 23?
