New Milford Twp. Activity
« on: February 09, 2013, 08:45:26 AM »
They just finished fracking Folger #1, they are still breaking down the equipment.  They are setting up a rig now on Pad 33 to drill another Innes well.  3 more permits approved for Folger.  Drilling rig has been on Scotts well pad for about a month now.  Anyone seeing anything else?  Heard from a Swn rep. that they are very happy with all of the wells in the area.

Confirmed the info on pad 31 and 33.  Also spoke upon a trucking supervisor, he says they are not allowed to use Tingley Lake road for some reason, he thinks permitting or bonding issue, and they are directed to use Washburn.  Last night and today, they had a D5 in use to push the heavies up the hill.  Today, they were having troubles on the grade even chained up.  He's been told to force the pace to get Pad 31 set up to drill, the rig is waiting for the mats to be finished.  Folger is to flare this coming week.

thanks for sharing.  So pad 31 the rig hasn't been drilling?  What are the mats you mentioned?  I assume not the black rubber they lay down, that doesn't take them long to place.  I am curious to when they plan on drilling the other 3 on pad 32.

"Mats" are planking that protects the rubber sheets from vehicles.  I haven't been up on Pad 31, so have no idea if it's been spudded much less drilled yet.  No idea on the drilling plans on any pad, but August has been mentioned for spudding in the next well on Lyncott.  Subject to LOTS of uncertainty.

There was a truck mounted drill rig went past the house yesterday.  Looked like a shallow rig, didn't have enough wheels for a mud motor rig, but had only a very brief glance at it.

Desoto rig 10 is setting up on the Innis site, east and north of Folger off Alexander.  77, you can probably see it.

(Not actually New Milford, but close enough.)

FWIW:
Evidently, the additional wells permitted in the area points toward continued heavy equipment movements, pad to pad, on pads 17,18, 19, 20 and the 30 series.  Speaking to an SWN rep indicates that (at least) Three Lakes and Washburn roads are going to be reworked to reduce the amount of maintenance that has been necessary over the last few months.  "The Word on the Street" is removal of most, if not all the fill materials and doing a better base prep, reworking the ditches, and in general fixing things.  That will also include re-paving of the lower section of Three Lakes when the chance of more frost heaves is reduced.  Increased dust control efforts, mostly with calcium chloride regularly applied, has already started.  They also plan to come around ("soon") and clear the gravel from the yards where the snow plow blasted it beyond the ditches.

A bit of an update.

The road work is not yet complete, but looks like they intend to finish it some day.

Prep work has started on the landfill pad.  Looks like the August best guess from back in April might be accurate.  4 more wells are permitted.

All of the folger wells are drilled, fracked, and hooked up.  The pad is all empty now with only the hissing sound of the dryers running.  Ghrit, how many wells are on the landfill site now?

Three active wells as of last November.  No idea when the four permitted new ones will be done and on line.

Can't help with the Squirrel, but the site prep on the Lyncott pad has started.  The new permits are supposed to start drilling this month, the last I heard a month or so ago.

Heard some rattling of pipe yesterday, so went up and had a peek.  The top hole on one of the new Lyncott wells is started.  The rig has SWN signage on it, did NOT know they drilled as well as operated.
