First LNG shipment loaded
« on: February 24, 2016, 09:05:18 PM »
There is news today that the first shipload of LNG has been loaded as of 2/24 at Cheniere's Sabine Pass LNG terminal.  Recent delays due to ironing out some glitches had pushed the date back several months.  From what I have read, at least some portion of this first shipment consisted of Marcellus  Shale sourced natural gas.  Hopefully the schedule of building  will be followed through with an expected interval of about 6 to 9 months between completions for the remaining 5 trains.  At full production each train requires an average of some 600 million cubic feet per day of natural gas.  Meanwhile, the former CEO and founder of Cheniere, Mr. Charif Souki, after being forced out of his position by corporate raider Carl Icahn, is busy putting together a new company with the stated purpose of building another LNG terminal.

From what I read Mr. Charif Souki salary went from 1.5 million to around 45 million. Why? Because of the 10-tax free agreement ,he made for the billion dollar plus facility.
