Global cooling a real possibilitiy
« on: January 02, 2018, 06:32:10 AM »
Nobody knows where we are headed weather-wise or climate-wise.  But it appears at this point as if global cooling is a distinct possibility.  Respected voices are not screaming "ice age" in a manner akin to that of the unhinged global warming fanatics.  Instead, talk is we could return to the kind of weather last seen in the 1970's, which many here will remember.  One thing for certain is that NONE of this is related to CO2, which is why it comes up in this forum.

The misguided CO2 fanatics are attempting to impugn and crucify fossil fuel use, and especially natural gas use, because of supposed climate impact.  So stupid.

Maunder Minimum (1645-1750), Who'da thunk that? We'll see by ~2022 if that is what this is. Now when your Great Grandchildren are your age they may know if it's only that! You think Geology is a large timeline. Our sun is still young.

Certainty is cold outside. Surprised energy prices have stayed stable. This is a good NY site. Could not find one for Pa,would be nice to compare. Can choose any product you like. Natural gas prices are not that much lower than fuel oil,but far more efficient. Looks to me, retailing natural gas market is a money maker. Maybe am wrong, but see north of 500% markup. A great deal of that price could be taxes, and transportation.
