Do not miss the comments.  I liked this one:

"Liberals want to control THE CLIMATE, like they want to control our nation and the world. Control freaks.
 DON'T TREAD ON ME!"

Why do both meanings of "snow blind" come to mind?

Yup.  But as the saying goes:  "Wait.  There is MORE!"

One of our newest naval vessels, and she is a pretty ship for certain, is just a little bit stuck:

Lest we forget:

If the AGW believers are right (they are not), and if their solutions actually work (they will not), it would make the earth colder still!!

Yep, there is a LOT more to that stuck ship story.  She was built light and fast, not as an ice breaker.  There's a lot to appreciate in that design, but survivability in heavy seas and obstructed waters (think reefs, rocks and shoals) is to my mind questionable.
The timing of taking her out of the builder's yard is a real mind bender.  It's not as though the Great Lakes and Montreal harbor haven't seen ice before.  someone just plain blew the ship's movement planning.
And now, back to your regularly scheduled political idiocy (read as climate change.)

Yeah, wj, fat Al was wrong.  Again.  (Or is it still?)

Here is how I see that:

Despite Trump's administration being more than one year underway, our government is still RIDDLED with Obama holdovers.  They are everywhere and they are throwing gravel into the gears at every opportunity.

Obama's minions were a "special" lot and, yes, they were in the armed services higher ups as well.  It only took one such idiot, infused with global warming ideology and certain of record warmth at a gut level, to authorize that ship's dispatch from Buffalo.  Those people really believe in their global warming fantasy.  And rest assured that ship's entrapment in ice in Montreal will do nothing whatsoever to erase their false notion.

since you bring up davos, did anyone catch mnuchin's remarks regarding the weak dollar? trump has mentioned it in the past, and they both seem to be signaling the beginning of a currency war, with the u.s. firing the opening shots.

it'll be very interesting to see where that takes us. the bond markets are in decline already, and with so many bubbles in our economy, we may be in for a bumpy ride this year.

Obama's 10 trillion dollar legacy may be about to bite us hard.

Since you bring up Davos, did you see this one?
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2018/01/27/steve-hilton-elitist-hypocrite-george-soros-makes-fool-himself-in-davos.html
"Liberal billionaire George Soros grabbed headlines at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Thursday by attacking internet giants Google and Facebook. Conveniently ignoring his own investment in these companies, Soros branded them a “menace to society.”"

Now, THAT sends me back to where wax found that Soros made some contributions to Ryan's PAC and conveniently ignored all the contributions that Soros made to the dems, and specifically bitcherly's campaigns and PACs.  This guy butters both sides of his slice of bread and we need to remember that when slinging BS around.  Don't we, wax?

For all of the supposed animosity between George Soros and Donald Trump based on their ideological differences they also have mutual business interests that go back many years.  In 2004 and '05 George Soros came up with crucial financing that allowed Trump's skyscraper in Chicago, the Trump International Hotel and Tower, to be completed, loaning the Trump Organization some 160 million dollars, which could have grown to 360 million that had to be paid back.  Instead through some complicated financing arrangement that still leaves people puzzled, a lot of the principal on that loan was apparently forgiven.  More recently Mr. Soros has invested in the business of Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner about 250 million dollars, which is a continuation of a long business association with the Kushners.  In that world of big money and high finance I doubt that many business deals are affected by political opinions.
