Solar and Wind Lock-In Fossil Fuels -- And That Makes Saving the Climate Harder & More Expensive

https://www.forbes.com/sites/michaelshellenberger/2018/05/15/solar-and-wind-lock-in-fossil-fuels-that-makes-saving-the-climate-harder-slower-more-expensive/#499db26121d4

Privately, experts admit that the fastest, easiest, and cheapest way to decarbonize energy supplies is with nuclear power.

How could they not? France and Sweden proved it.

As a result, the two nations enjoy vastly cheaper and cleaner power than solar and wind-heavy Germany and Denmark.

And yet many of the same experts proclaim publicly, “We need a clean energy mix!” — one that includes solar and wind.

Why?

The reason has nothing to do with technology, engineering, or economics and everything to do with politics.

Make no mistake folks, gas is an excellent bridge source of electrical power.  In the end, the bridge will lead to nuclear.
There are two kinds of ships.  Submarines and targets.
